LATEST NEWS from the Café

Hi all

The bike ride has been postponed until Thursday 18th June when we should have some better weather. Same arrangements - be at the café with your bike by 10am for a gentle cycle round the lanes for about an hour.

We still have spaces available for our celebratory picnic on 26th June 6pm at the village hall. Thierry will be laying on a cold buffet with a wonderful array of dishes and we have live music from a harp and guitar duo. We ask guests to bring a small contribution of nibbles or dessert to share so that it is a real community event. We would like to make this an occasion for everyone, and encourage families to join us too. Book at the café or by replying to this email,  £15 pp, children £5, includes a welcome aperitif or soft drink.

We are selling tickets in the café for the next music night at the village hall. On Friday 3rd July there will be a lovely relaxed music evening with popular local acoustic duo Lundy, otherwise known as Mary-Jane and Keith Tyrrell, who many of you will know. The bar will open from 7pm, music from 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 from the cafe

Finally, we know summer has really arrived when Karen and Clarke serve up their amazing Sunday teas. Don't miss the first of these on Sunday 5th July, come along to the café 3-5pm for delicious cream teas and cake - hopefully we will be sitting in the sun by then!

All the best

The Café Team

The café is the perfect place to relax and enjoy delicious food and coffee with friends and family, with seating inside and out. We offer a variety of beverages, home baked cakes and savouries.

We always love to see the cafe buzzing so please drop in on a Wednesday or Thursday morning. We are now offering 'small bites' for those who want a mouthful to eat with their tea or coffee but who haven't quite got room for a whole piece of cake

Hope to see you soon.

Look out for our very popular themed dining evenings, held at the Village Hall. Previous events have included French Night and Italian Night.

There is a very sociable walking group that meets on Wednesdays at 10am, walking out from the café on a variety of paths around the village and returning an hour later for a well deserved mug of tea and slice of homemade cake. A warm welcome awaits new walkers, and dogs are also welcome to join the walk!

From Garden to Kitchen

Four attractive booklets celebrating locally grown produce, containing tasty seasonal recipes from Badingham residents. They have been produced by Enterprise Badingham with the help of East Suffolk's Field to Fork scheme and proceeds will support the herb garden behind the Village Hall.

They are available at the café for £3.00 each, or all 4 for £10.
